ABJ Takes Part in Model U.N.

Just wrapped up another year at the University of Alberta’s High School Model UN. Our students did a fantastic job as committee delegates representing countries from around the world. They debated many topics like mandatory vaccinations, terrorism off the Horn of Africa, sustainability of pollination, limiting nuclear arms tests, redefining the definition of narcotics, and many more. Our students were very vocal and engaged during the debate – many wrote position papers ahead of time and worked on drafting new resolutions throughout the conference. When you see the following students, send them praise for representing ABJ so well! Lindsay and I are very proud of their hard work: Victoria Wright, Jackson Miller, Chris Valaire, Max Bahri, Seamus McCoy, Garth MacDonald and Mathieu Meurer. Nathan Correia was ill and couldn’t attend.A special congratulations to Victoria Wright and Jackson Miller who won an award for Outstanding Diplomat for their incredible work representing Uruguay on the 2018 Security Council.Miss Fichter & Mme Lemay
