ABJ at Model U.N.

Big success for  ABJ this past weekend at the High School Model U.N. held at the U of A on Thursday evening, Friday, and Saturday.
Our students politicked, debated, and advocates regarding a number of issues such as human rights, space colonization and international jurisdiction vs national sovereignty, and North/South Korean tension de-escalation.
It was a great experience for all involved and students are already talking about next year's conference.  At the closing ceremonies, different awards were given out based on judged observation, and some ABJ students won awards:
1. Garth MacDonald (grade 10) won an award for best delegate in his dais.
2. Evan Ogonoski and Greg Dallon (on the 2033 Security Council regarding the colonization of Mars) won an award for best position paper within their dais.
They were a great group of students. In total, there was about 400 students from different schools that attended the conference.
A big thank you to Mr. Crosbie and Ms. Lemay for the preparation, supervision, and overall success of the conference.
